Tuesday 22nd December 2009 - an afternoon of garden work Come along to the Community Garden any time during the afternoon of Tuesday 22nd December and help us with some essential tasks. We need willing hands to start the remodelling of the vegetable raised beds, help with weeding and seed sowing for overwintering plants and generally get stuck in! In return we can offer hot drinks and great company.

Last Sunday of the month - starting in January 2010 All welcome to come to the garden after lunch on the last Sunday of each month, beginning on Sunday 31st January 2010. The aim of these regular gatherings is to get some work done, have a sociable time and a chat over a cup of tea. We will be drawing prizes for our whiskey raffle on the first Working Day. Come along and dig, or weed, or get together with other supporters of the garden. More information coming soon.

Are you willing and able? Come along to the Garden on 22nd November and help us with some work. We are organising a Working Party for Sunday 22nd November at the Community Garden to start (and, we hope finish) the re-building of the raised vegetable beds using wood kindly organised by Dave Pearson! The Young Farmers have already agreed to send some people to help, and a motley crew of friends, husbands and partners has also been pressed into service. If you would like to give us a hand, or know somebody who could help out, please let us know by email - .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or telephone (07825 613683) or simply turn up on the day. We will be there between 10am and 3pm but even if you only have half an hour to spare your help will be most welcome. We will be offering soup made from kale and tomatoes harvested from the garden to all the hard workers. We look forward to seeing you there.
